I'm looking back fondly on my youth, looking hesitantly toward middle age, content to sit in the middle with my two young sons, husband, 22 guppies and one lizard.

I'm one of those thwarted creative types, looking for outlets, always leaving things half-done, always waiting for the day that I'll have enough time.

In my dream world I'm a successful writer and photographer with my own study and a house in Italy, but for now I feel lucky to have this small desk in the kitchen of a nice house in a wonderful town.
